What a stunning location. I wish we had stayed longer, but what we had was lovely. Steve was very helpful and friendly. So much to see and not enough days to do it all. The restaurants here were amazing, and the scenery and villages superb. The heatwave was the only downside, but nothing to be done for that, will try a different month next time. Thankyou it was lovely. From both of us and our Australian cousins.
We were two couples that stayed for 5 days. We traveled around the area seeing the wonderful old towns high on the rolling hills We had arranged wine tasting tours with three local wineries. We found the restaurants that Steve and Frances recommended to be very good. Steve and Frances are wonderful hosts and very willing to share their knowledge of this area. We brought some wine that my husband had made and had them up to share appetizers and wine. It was nice to have the owners so close and always there to share the knowledge of Dogliani. The apartment was just perfect for our needs. The view was fantastic, we spent our early evenings out on the deck, usually with a glass of wine🍷. Jeannie,Mike,Karen,and Dwight
Abbiamo trascorso un piccolo soggiorno di tre giorni da Steve & Frances. E stato splendido! Sono delle persone molto accoglienti e intenzionate e poi che dire del posto, una vista mozza fiato (soprattutto al mattino quando il cielo non é nuvoloso) su una buona prte dell'arco alpino. I nostri due gemellini di 6 anni si sono divertiti a giocare con Lilla (un cane adorabile). Una piccola precisione per l'indirizzo, ci sono diverse borgate delle combe, quella di google maps é giusta, assicuratevi che il vostro navigatore selezioni la giusta. It is a fantastic place to catch some piece and comfort. View from the terrace is amazing. Loved having breakfast there, overlooking the hills, mountains, gardens.. Dogliani is just a few min away, where you can find everything you might need - supermarket, restaurants, walk in the city, barber, laundry, whatever. And all the other nice small town in the area with wine tasting options are just around 15-30 min drive. A place that will remember with very good feelings!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Frances and Steve´s apartment. It was very clean, convenient and comfortable. The views over the surrounding area and mountains are spectacular! The location is very central for exploring the nearby wine-producing regions. Steve and Frances (and their lovely dog Lilla) were really friendly and responsive hosts. They had provided a lot of practical information regarding exploring the area, including great tips for restaurants (we especially liked the fantastic pizza place in Farigliano). We highly recommend staying at Frances and Steve´s place!

The apartment Steve and Frances offer here is located in the quiet and extremely nice vineyard covered hills above Dogliani. It is wonderfully renovated and misses nothing. The view from the terrace is just amazing! The area is perfect for enjoing the beauties of Piemonte. There are wine producers around that offer great tours. We did one at Luigi Einaudi (just 15 min walk from the place) and can really recommend that, since it is on a very high level and not the classic tour for any tourists. Of course Steve and Frances are happy to recommend a matching place to eat after such a tour. They are great hosts and you can feel how the love the welcome people at their place!
Ah Dogliani! A beautiful retreat with some of the best wine tastings in the hills of Piedmont! Gorgeous sunsets, gracious hosts, comfortable beds and great local food. Newly remodeled with top notch furnishings made for an excellent stay. We will be recommending STAY BEL to our friends and wine industry cohorts! CHEERS!
Great place with an amazing view
We loved our stay - the hosts were super accommodating, including letting our dogs play :-) while we were in Alba. The place is very quiet, beautiful surroundings and easy to park and use as a base of operations for wine tasting, enjoying the incredible food and culture the area has to offer.
